Operation successful!
When Hurricane Joaquin hit the Caribbean in 2015, it left behind a trail of destruction. The storm's path was an unexpected one, carrying it across the ocean, but it eventually made landfall in the Bahamas. The storm then brought down an enormous cargo ship, the SS El Faro, which sank in only fifteen minutes. This disaster was an eventful one, and it led to the discovery of an amazing story of courage, self-sacrifice, and the resiliency of the human spirit. The El Faro was a ship carrying 3300 tons of cargo. On October 1, 2015, it was hit by a category five hurricane named Joaquin. On the evening of October 1, Captain Michael Davidson and the crew began preparing for the storm. The next morning, they found themselves in the eye of the storm. Suddenly, at 6:13 AM, they lost all power. A few hours later, they were thrown into darkness as water flooded into the engine room. The ship started to sink. There was no way out.
